Sweetest Name of all Blog Carnival!!!

Jesus is the Sweetest Name of All. And we should purpose ourselves to make HIS name famous!

Greetings one and all to our first ever Sweetest Name of All . If you are a name dropper you are going to absolutely adore this carnival, if not, you will be before it is over! I look forward to praising, praying, and persevering HIS FAITHFULNESS with each of you as we fully surrender ourselves and our moments over to the Most High.

Tell us all which of His names is sweetest to you in your present season or one that has always been dear to your heart.

First, begin by picking a name of the Lord that you want to praise or that you desperately need to cling to. Is there a Name of HIS through which He has made Himself known to you in a real way? Be as detailed or general as you would like. There are no wrong answers when you are praising HIM for who He is and what He is doing in your life.

Steal my button and hyperlink it back to my most current Name post.

Linking my button to your site will bring others to my blog and encourage them to participate as well. I will have a Mister Linky at the end of each post where you can link your latest post.

How to sign Mister Linky: First blank: Your Name (HIS name) and second the link put your post url (your blog plus the title of your post) example: http://abidingbranch.blogspot.com/2009/03/sweetest-name-of-all.html (but please put your link not mine.) Come back every Thursday, I look forward with eager anticipation to your posts of praise!

Where else would you begin?... Jesus. In the beginning was the Word and Word was with God and the Word was God. Amen! Jesus is the Name Above All Names, The Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Son of Man, Son of God, Rose of Sharon, the Great I AM!

A trait of my Lord Jesus today is that He is my Sustainer. This speaks to His character in that He is the breath I take and the only one I can count on when this world seems dark, dim, and hopeless. Victory is within my grasp and the enemy has his defeat!

Blog and say that the Lord is good! Tell us all why He delights your soul and which one of His names means to you. This post will have many names to select from if you do not know where to begin. If you need help please contact me and I desire to help you praise the Lord Jesus, to magnify His name, and to relish your soul in the delight of His safe keeping.

Today, praise the Lord, seek Him while He may be found!

Expect a Miracle!!!

Thank you Shannon for works-for-me Wednesday. I am addicted and I hope to have it done to a T very soon!

The world would have inspect those miracles but please allow me to share a little personal perspective on Miracles!! Yes they do still happen, just not always what you expected!

Was it a miracle that Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus?.......... YES! But wait, he was blinded that's NOT COOL! Oh but boy is this working for me!!!!

Was it a miracle that Christ raised Lazarus from the dead? The stench had already settled in from death but don't you think Mary and Martha ran to him and threw their arms around him all the same??? Stench and all?............ Yes, Yes, and YES.....this is working for me!

Speaking of Mary and Martha, was it a joy for them to suffer the death and burial of their beloved brother?......No, not fun at all...there was weeping and tearing of clothes I am certain...but God had something bigger in store! This is working for me!

And school at LeTourneau University from Longview online to my living room is working for me as well. Allow me to share a little more about miracles through the following text, forgive any repeated words or lines, please.

“I am in the middle of something quite unexplainable as a matter of fact. It is the beginning of a miracle I thought would never happen. (Please pray over me as I go through this. I know a few of you prayer warriors personally now and I love your worn out knees!)

Anyway, I have experienced many miracles in my life as well. I have a kidney disease that thankfully has no diagnosis! I have some symptoms but none of the root causes Praise the Lord! Now, sometimes we think of miracles and we immediately feel that we will have unsurpassed happiness, joy, elation, etc... by them but I am finding that to be contrary.

Sometimes the miracles that are given to us are part of a process that may begin as painfully as the one I am experiencing now. But I know God will show His Glory and get every ounce of the credit!!

I go to church with a lady that had her 3rd birthday last week after being told she would die from brain cancer - the most aggressive kind! Her tumor grew for a while but then it shrank! She even carries the MRI around with her much like I am sure each person who received the touch from Jesus did. And she proudly says, "Look at what God has done for me and in me!!" But this miracle has its struggles and pain but she praises HIM all the same! And after each treatment and during each reaction from it she praised the Lord that she was alive to be ill!!!!

There was a miracle after a my father's funeral when my Grannie received the Lord later that day at 88 years young! And on a day when she buried son #2. Now that shows God is definitely good!

I could go on and on but we were asked for proof of our beliefs and to me the most undeniable proof is His word. Now if you have not watched Facing the Giants - go do it now! But the theme of this movie that is that nothing is impossible for God based on Luke 1:37, "For nothing is impossible with God." I love that the word WITH is used! Just the fact that He is WITH us is proof enough. :-) One more plug the people who made Facing the Giants have made another called Fireproof. This may help some marriages see miracles. Whether you are single, divorced, married, engaged, or have children who will be married you should see this movie. http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/

Jesus is alive and with us! Again for those who will pray for me, THANK YOU from every level of my heart and soul!”

Now I must ask myself by the prompting of the Lord, will I embrace the stench? Will I wait for the Resurrection or give up before the Lord arrives? Will I Praise the Lord while I suffer the consequences of all the "treatments"? Will I rest while I can not see what is ahead? Will I continue to serve HIM even if I can't speak much like Zachariah did when Elizabeth was pregnant with the one who would prepare the way of the Lord? Patience and Silence?? Wow now that is a test of great magnitude! Will I be like my ornery Grannie and accept Him fully even at time of death? You know where the rest of this heads...do you see the struggles in each miracle whether it boils down to belief or not? I see it!! I feel it!! I am living it!!!

So ladies, readers, friends, & countrymen....it is not "What is working for me today" it is WHO is working for me!!

And HE is the Mighty One, the Holy One, The Lord of Lords, King of Kings, The Great I AM, the Beginning and the End, the One who was and is to come, Jesus, My Savior, My Redeemer, My Lord, My friend, My Husband, My Healer, HE my dear dear friends IS WORKING FOR ME!!!! AND YOU!!!!
One final note from Teacups Full of Treasure: Let the Names of God Be Your Source of Strength, by Mary Grace Birkhead, He is Jehovah-Nissi, My Banner Exodus 17:15 - This is your new identity, You are His! You are no longer a victim. You are a victor! You don't have to be defeated by your circumstances; He is there fighting for you!
